I figured, just wanted to make sure. An old high school buddy has a Chevelle drag car that runs the 1/4 in the 8's.
That's fast. If you would have asked me a couple years ago about trying for 8s I would have said no, not going to try to go that fast. Now that I'm knocking on that door, it's definitely a goal in my sites. My main thing is the car has to stay streetable. My current set up can run pump gas, still have full interior with back seat, 3.50 gears and a th350 transmission. It's not getting any lighter so I have to get this combo dialed in then it's getting some more spray.
Yeah, his is not streetable. He brought it to a local show last year on a trailer and fired it up though. It's an all-out drag car...lexan windows and all. Though his chute was non-functional.
The Texas Muscle Car Club posted this video. Around the 8 minute mark is a one badass car. [YT]s1UBaM2p75w[/YT]
In tractor pulls a good wheelie is desirable so all the weight is on the back wheels for traction... I guess the same is true for drag racing, as long as nothing breaks
Son. Of. A. Bitch. That was awesome!!! You know, you ought to have your veterinary practice displayed on the car for advertisement so you could write off your "sponsorship." That's legit, right? I mean, you're spending Michael's money either way so you might as well get some benefit out of it.
