Broke my mirror

Cut a slot in a 1" pipe coupler, pressed back on fairly easily. A little too easily maybe, went a bit far- it seems like it's very hard to get the mirror to flex now. But it's better than flopping around like it was.

Closing the loop on this. Finally got around to reinstalling the big mirror. Repair worked! The mirror arm breaks away as it should, pulls back out and locks in place. A little stiffer than before, but OK.

Now I can knock over bicyclists with my elephant ears again

Not much to see really, the "breakage" was limited to a ball bearing getting knocked out f place inside the pivot joint of the arm. The only visible difference was a slightly wider gap at the joint.

I'll try to smash things up better next time
