Broke my mirror

Cut a slot in a 1" pipe coupler, pressed back on fairly easily. A little too easily maybe, went a bit far- it seems like it's very hard to get the mirror to flex now. But it's better than flopping around like it was. :D

Closing the loop on this. Finally got around to reinstalling the big mirror. Repair worked! The mirror arm breaks away as it should, pulls back out and locks in place. A little stiffer than before, but OK.

Now I can knock over bicyclists with my elephant ears again :lol:

Not much to see really, the "breakage" was limited to a ball bearing getting knocked out f place inside the pivot joint of the arm. The only visible difference was a slightly wider gap at the joint.

I'll try to smash things up better next time :D
