Bose active suspension

Simply awesome. Been thinking about how different vehicles feel smoother than others. If I could afford this I totally would get it, and if they had 1/2 ton versions. This is the same Bose as Bose audio...

Read about this several years ago and still haven't seen anything else on it since. Seems like vaporware to me, but if it ever is actually released it looks promising.

If it's anything like Bose audio, it will over promise and under deliver. I've never heard a Bose system that didn't suck.

Yeah I dont care Too much for Bose systems, but even so, its a cool idea. I'd like to know how reliable it is, long it lasts, hard/expensive to repair, etc.

It is not the BOSE system... but....

Some of the Cadillacs (like mine)...and some other cars use magneto-rheological struts and shocks.

some of the vehicles that use this system are Audi TT and R8, Cadillac CTS-V, DTS, XLR, STS, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari 599GTB, 458 Italia and Holden HSV Commodore.
These systems were produced by the Delphi Corporation and now by BWI Group under the proprietary name MagneRide.

MillenWorks has also included them in several military vehicles including the MillenWorks Light Utility Vehicle, and in retrofits to the US Army Stryker and HMMWV for testing by TARDEC.[6][7]

A magnetorheological shock absorber is a damper filled with magnetorheological fluid, which is controlled by a magnetic field, usually using an electromagnet.
This allows the damping characteristics of the shock absorber to be continuously controlled by varying the power of the electromagnet.

The density of the fluid can be changed up to 1000 times a second...

Agreed.

However, I do like the Bose system in my Avalanche. Doesn't compare to the audio in my 95, but it's still quite good for a factory audio system in a less-than-high-end truck.
