Some of you may have seen the custom billet antennas that a member on GMFS makes IMO. They are made of 303 stainless and give a cleaner look than the OEM antenna. I'm finally going to order one but I'm on the fence about which style.

Let me know what you think.

The round and spike are $30 and the bullet is $35. Here is the thread.

I have been leaning towards the round. I may have it sandblasted and then paint it black so it will blend in and not be so noticeable.

I started claying the truck this morning to prep it for polish, wax and glaze when I got annoyed with the antenna.

I really wanna get the bullet style one. I'm getting sick of the stock antenna smoking the top of the garage door everytime I drive in or out.

Antenna delete or a shorter flexible antenna. Billet doesn't give and antennas are made to flex for a reason, so they don't snap off.

I planned to get it 6" long so there shouldn't be an issue with snapping off, right? Or am I missing something?

I thought about the antenna delete but was worried about reception (but maybe the 6" billet I'm thinking of won't be much different). You did it in your Sierra, right? Any issues with reception? The radio stations have weak signals around here for some reason.

I'd vote round.

Reception? People still listen to AM/FM radio?
