what kind of tires do you have there... I dig the look!

35x12.50x18 Nitto Mud Grapplers

I'd like to get some bigger tires but I have the stock XLT 17" rims.

The problem is I don't understand the difference in tire numbering ie. 275/70/R18 vs 35X12.50X18. How do the middle numbers convert?

Thanks in advance!

its pretty simple the first number is the width of the tire in Milimeters, then middle number is the aspect ratio of the sidewall compared to the width. and the last number is obviously the rim in inches. so to get your tire size you take the width, 275 and and divide by 25.4 to it in inches. 275mm = 10.8". then you multiply that by the ratio number which is .70, that gives you 7.56. that is one sidewall on the tire since there is two, looking right at the tire, one below the rim and one above. you get 15.12. Then you simply add that to the rim size and you get the overall height of the tire in this case 33.12".

so a 275/70/18 is basically a 33X11R18
