Picked up this Mac scan tool and I have to say, it has saved me from playing a lot of guessing games with repairs on cars in relation to the engine light. Also, it has already saved me a couple rounds of 200 bucks that it could have easily cost me following these engine codes and replacing sensors/parts along with all the information you can google.

As an example, my car was running lean. I thought it could be O2 sensors, fuel pressure regulator, MAF, and the list goes on. I actually ordered the Fuel Pressure regulator because it was the cheapest. Hooked it up to this scanner instead of my old one and each code that I looked at whether it be a misfire or 02 Sensor (I think there was 3-4 codes) it said to replace the MAF as the most popular fix under each of these codes. I actually slipped by the junk yard for giggles and $10 later, it was fixed.

Same thing with Earl, we lost 1st and 4th. We had a couple ideas what it could be and were about to order a rebuild kit for the tranny. Figured it was about time with over 375k on the clock. The scan took told us to replace a sensor in the transmission and that fixed it!

This is a blue tooth device and you download a app onto your phone. Once you have scanned your OBD2 it also retains the information of each scan and the codes that were pulled. You can remove the device from your obd2 and still view the codes and information for further research.

This will allow you to purchase or unlock features to scan Airbag codes, ABD codes and more. I think it was $40 for the airbag and $30 for the abs. Not to bad, you can buy other scan tools from Mac for a lot more. They might have more features but this works great for me and it is a lot cheaper than a Tech 2.

Device also will record operating data too! I am still playing with it as my brother bought one first. Now that I bought mine, I've been trying to learn it as I know it has already saved me money on a few different vehicles.

I am going to look into it more. It would be cool to see Regens, etc. Maybe manifold pressure?
