For you GMT-900 people, did your trucks come with that smooth tailgate cap, or did that come with the covers?

I've never seen a GMT-900 with that cap. They all have the huge plastic step one.

I see J-Rod's cover goes over the step which is nice to see... So at least I have some options

I'm not sure I like that look!!

It's not my favourite look... But I'd rather have the tonneau than the jockey box

The one I used was a GM part.. I forget the part #, but it's the cap from the HD's..

Personally, I always hated that "whale tale" thing that came on the 900's.. I was glad to get something that looked less "busy"..

Tape on.. And just so you're not surprised when you take the current cap off...

I have an Access rollup cover on my truck. Bought it in '04 when I got the truck. I love it, it gets used hard and hasn't given me a single problem. Hardly any fade either, it does get water in at the top of the tailgate but, it wasn't meant to be watertight. I would buy another for sure, great product.

I don't remember... I found it on GM Parts Direct and the local dealership price-matched it..
