Great write up!

Wish I had the cash to throw down on a headunit like that so I could add a camera also.

I just noticed the distance scale in the video is in meters. That's not a big deal, but can it be changed to feet?

I don't think so. When ordering it you may be able to request that:dunno:


My guess is that's a head unit setting. Is that an actual OEM camera?

It's a GM bezel but an upgraded camera.

I'm definitely guessing that's a HU setting then. I hope so, although, using the metric system isn't all that hard either! :lol:

Scott you should definitely do this. NOW :D

If I was doing it again, I would do one thing different. There is a option to power the camera through the LockPick. I didn't have enough wire to run it to the front and I got lazy and didn't want to run more wire all the way up there. Maybe I'll get wild hair one day and redo it, but it's not a big deal. The advantage to doing it this way you have the option to turn it on when not in reverse.
