I'm guessing the LML's are like the 6.2s in the Camaro's and such, and as far as I can understand it, there's footprints left behind in any mods to the computer. I can't say for sure how true it is, but it's a definite possibility...

filter back exhaust. and yea i've heard from a few guys that gm can tell of any programming done even after removed, this was too much $$ to chance.
