Its been a few months since I've had the results just been sitting on them for a while. Basicly I changed over to Amsoil AZO in september of last year with 105,165 on the clock. I then put 12,500 miles on and swapped the filter and topped off with oil since amsoil filter for it is only good for 15K. At the time I was still planning on going the full 25K. However I got the best of my self and decided to drain it a 20K since the oil had been put thought a pretty harsh trial.

During the Sept to March time span i changed the plugs, air, filter from KN to Wix, and the PCV valve. I have still yet to find the source of the possible air leak.

Need less to say I'm now going to 18K total mile changing the filter and topping off at 9K.

Here are the results

Left side Amsoil 20,281 Miles

Right side Mobil 1 10,000 miles 8/11/11

Not changing mine. Not because it's not possible, but because changes at shorter intervals are cheap insurance.

I didn't know you had an Xterra. That 4.0 is a great engine.

A friend of mine had one. Thing was quicker than a silver ado with a 5.3 and it could pull some weight.

Yup sure do. My wife drives it to work every day and her commute is about 40 miles each way M-F. Plus its our man "Family" car so most of them time we drive it instead of the truck. but with the recent dash install she's been more willing to ride it it.

Oh and yes that 4.0 has some serious cajones!

I did extend with Amsoil. Now, I wait for the OLM to read zero. That alone is a big step for me, and as far as I am willing to go
