Need some help trying to figure out how to get the correct config. for my truck I see it is the E38 but I can't seem to figure out the next step or how to load it back to stock. Or is this where I contact BB and get them to send me my stock file?

Check your spam and junk folders. They should have sent you instructions on how to use the unit. They did when I bought mine.

Yea I did that and I've got to the E38 I'm assuming I only need to check the one box for the E38 4speed? Then just upload to the EFILive

Sounds like you're at the "Configuring AutoCal for logging and file retrieval"?

The way I took it, for trucks it'll be "Config - E38 4Spd," "Config - E38 6Spd," or "Config - E38 2011+"

So if it's a pre-2011 with a 4L60 it'll be the "Config - E38 4Spd"

Correct and I've finally figured out how to upload that to the EFI. I guess now all I need to do is log my data and as for when I retrieve my files Will my engine and transmission be under the E38? I see it's loaded under the read1 as E38 but read2 says T42 . sorry for all the questions just trying not to make BB job any harder explaining EVERYTHING lol.

When logging, you go to record and the config files that were uploaded to the AutoCal tell it what information to pull from both the E38 (engine controller) and T42 (transmission controller).

When pulling your existing tune, you use read and do both Read1 E38 and Read2 T42, which is the AutoCal pulling the tables that make up the existing tune from the two separate controllers.

After everything is done there'll be atleast three files (more if you did more than one log) on the AutoCal: a log file using record which will be a .efi file, one file from both the ECM and TCM using read which will be .ctz files.

Thanks for the help Matt. I guess you can choice what info it needs to read or does it already have a set of parameters to check? I won't be able to try it till after work tomorrow and see what your talking about. Once that's done I can just send those files in?

I believe the config files that are uploaded to the AutoCal tell it what information to record. After done the three files are downloaded to your computer using EFILive Explorer and then e-mail them to BBP. That's the step I'm at, just waiting for the reply. Says to just e-mail them with the subject lined filled in like they say and then if all the files are ok they'll respond with a link with questions about the tune you want.

Sounds like I'll be right behind you. Thanks again for the help. I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything right. Got a little worried when I seen how advance this program was and all the things you can do I know nothing about lol
