What sort of crazy redneck ritual makes you like a truck that smokes? Somebody please fill me in here.

The way I look at it ... it's like a peacock flaring their feathers to attract a mate.

The female looks at the plume and the bigger the feathers are ... the brighter the colors are ... the more manly the bird is.

Smoke is partially burnt fuel. The darker the cloud is the stronger the smell the more power the truck should have. More fuel with the right ratio of air and good supporting parts is the recipe for a good strong diesel truck.

So when the driver can lug that motor just a bit and keep the air down and get that fuel dumping and the coal starts to roll ... they are just doing their strut to get the crowds attention for the show that is about to follow.




Granted I'm a girl and I think diesel is sexy ... but remembering the fact that 98% of all diesel enthusiast are men that analogy does make it sound pretty non-heterosexual
