My fiancee and I are looking for a new vehicle since our family is expanding by 1 new little guy in a couple of months. We found a pretty good deal on a fully loaded 2009 Acadia FWD with 54k miles on it and are going to try to test drive it this weekend.

I wanted to ask you guys that own one of these how you like it, how's the gas mileage, do you wish you would have gotten something different?

Any and all thoughts are appreciated!

I think they are nice vehicles. Everyone that owns one seems to like theirs.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
My mom just got one a month or so back. They got it used, but is a 2011.

So far so good. She wanted a FWD for fuel reasons, but haven't really tested it a whole lot on highway driving. So no good data on that for you

But she really likes it so far. Mainly just the bells and whistles, but I rode in it a few weeks ago and it rides nice. The three rows of seats are nice and you have a little space behind the 3rd row too.

Nick (Black02Silverado) on here has one too, I believe.

I am wanting to get one, they look great and they seem like good crossovers. No first hand experience though :dunno:

The only thing that is keeping us from jumping on the deal right now is the fuel mileage. Its rated at 17 and 24, and thats a lot lower than my fiancee gets now when she drives all over the state, so its making us rethink whether we want to get a crossover or just go with a fullsize car that gets better mileage.

I've driven them several times and just can't make myself like them. On the flip side, those who I have known or talked to who have one love theirs. I guess I'm just not a good crossover candidate.

They seem like pretty nice vehicles but I've never rode in or driven one.

I hear Grand Cherokees are pretty nice.

I hate the looks of them but everyone who owns one seems to love them.
My friend gets 21-26mpgs in hers and she's been driving everywhere lately. She's a nurse so she gets moved a lot

It's a big crossover to boot. Not sure it's meant to be a long distance commuter. More of a vehicle to haul groceries and 5 kids at once.
