America Hates Electric Cars.

Electric cars have the very same problem they had in the early 1900s - lack of range. If they did 500 miles between charges, people would flock to them.

I'd rock one with a Blackbear controller tune.

American's are lazy and electric cars aren't convenient. We (atleast in the mid-west and south) want to hop in the car on a moment's notice, maybe spend 5 minutes filling up with gas and drive hundreds of miles just because we can. The idea of spending 8 hours to charge a car that can only go 40 miles is absurd.

I'm not American, but this seems more reasonable to me than spending 8 hours to run 40 miles in less than a hour...

My normal morning commute is about 60 miles one way and I drive about 350 miles a day. I'd be screwed with one of the current electric cars.

Some months ago I wrote a review about the Nissan LEAF pointing some reasons why I wasn't so impressed when I saw it personally. It's not really the miraculous thing as often portrayed by marketing personell...
