Pretty cool. I did a speech back in college and found tons of information on the amount of coal burned in factorys to supply the hours of charging for electric cars based off of their miles per charge vs. mpg with a gas car and the factory ended up some 12% more polution. I'll have to find the paper. It was pretty interesting to research.
Electric cars have the very same problem they had in the early 1900s - lack of range. If they did 500 miles between charges, people would flock to them.
