A little help fellas.

Alright I recieved my Borla exhaust today.

Items:
Magnaflow Tru-x pipe 3"inlet/outlet
Magnaflow 12" tips 3"inlet/4"outlet
Borla XR-1

Problem is they sent me a borla round which is 5" round 15" long. Do you think it would be worth getting a second one or sending it back for an Oval and a Y-pipe? I have no clue as to which one will sound better. All I know is the magnapacks I had were the same size as this XR-1 round.

Is the problem you didn't get what you ordered or that you are second guessing your original order now?

They sent the wrong muffler size. They sent a smaller diameter one thats round instead of an oval one. I just figured I'd keep it depending on how it sounds.

Gotcha. My personal preference would be to send it back and get a larger muffler. I like my exhaust a little more subtle though.

Were you looking to reduce sound when you decided to replace the current setup?

Not really I'm looking for a pretty good bark I like people to hear me a little ways. I liked the magnapacks deep tone through all the rpms it was just monotone. The pitch never seemed to change. Thats my biggest concern with a smaller round type muffler again.

I think I'd go for something with a little more volume then. You'll get a little more growl and a more throaty sound. The smaller you go, the more it's just going to sound like straight pipes.
