Shut Up Stupid
The brave firefighters that drove this truck to the scene were lost forever, when they entered the twin towers on 9/11/01.
One of my best friend's is a fire fighter, and this truck is currently at his station until next week. Alot of people at my work wanted to see it, so he brought it down. This truck is currently on a tour of the US, being dropped off at many stations across the country. After it is done, it will be parked at the Smithsonian museum Forever, as it has been retired from duty. It truly gave my chills walking around and in this truck. The helmet you see is from one of the guys that left it on the truck, after they headed towards the towers.. and it will always remain on this truck.
This truck bares the battle wounds it suffered in 2001 from the falling debris and chaos. The truck provided shelter to many fire fighters as they hid under the truck as the towers collapsed. This is truly one of the most memorable vehicles I will ever have a chance to touch and see. I figured this group of people here at TMC would truly appreciate the pictures of this.
