Most electrical contact cleaners I have seen won't dry out water... but I'd bet Jrod has something that is used on the ship that will dry up lake Michigan if needed.

Douched it out pretty well with some contact cleaner, left it un-plugged, and disconnected the neg. terminal to reset the computer. I'll let it sit for an hour or two, and go re-connect everything, and hope for the best.

It did look pretty wet in there.

I had kinda the same problem on my first car, a 1990 Cavalier. EVERY time, I drove it thru a puddle the oxygen sensor started acting up. At first, I replaced it and it was fine, the 2, then 3, then onto the 4th oxygen sensor, I was getting pissed. Mind you, this was my first car, and I was only 18, all I knew was the oxygen sensor went "bad" if it got wet. They were like 25 bucks a pop. Once I realized that for some reason it got wet evry time I drove in the rain, I tried using a bottle of "fuel system water remover/fuel injector cleaner", after a suggestion from a friend. And it actually worked like a charm. Every other time it happened, I just added a bottle to the gas tank and it worked like a charm. I never did find out how water was getting in there. But for some reason it all stopped after I replaced the ignition coil pack. The coil pack went out and I had to replace it it, and I never had the oxygen sesnsor act up after that, I wonder why. Anyway, glad to hear you got it fixed Danny Boy.

Check your O2 Sensor fuse, as well...

Mine would pop almost every time I hit water that went up to the rocker panels.

After it IS dried out and working, I would think using something like lamp grease would work to keep it groovy. Those 99 cent chem packs at the auto store checkout lines are pretty handy.

Light's still on. I checked the fuse before I connected it last night, and it's fine. I'm going to try to dry it out better this afternoon, it might not have been completely dry (though it looked and felt it, but it was dark so it was hard to tell).

It sucks, I've never had an SES light come on in the truck before, and it comes on the day that I was going to go through inspection.
