If they manage to get a 4-valve (or even just 3-valve) cylinder head for an OHV engine without that Harley-Davidson lookalike fWONKin' twin-cam setup that had been under development some years ago it could increase the efficiency with the direct injection. I have never seen any spark-ignited engine fitted with direct injection that had less than 2 intake valves (except 2-stroke ones, obviously).
The LS5 is rumored to be direct injection.

Seems like I'm not the only one who dislike V6 engines. But since it has some boost I could actually consider it as an option...
The only 6 cylinder engines I like are either from Cummins or sporty European cars. IMO, boost will cause reliability problems with the EB. Being under boost for long hauls can cause premature wear or failure.
