My 4L60 will chirp the tires into second if I am on the gas hard. A tune does wonders

I got a shift kit from Tru Tech Transmission Along with sonnex servo 4th gear and new separated plate and pressure control valve. It shifts nice and firm now.

Your truck is a 2004 and I'm guessing it has more than 100,000 miles on it. If you do anything to increase the shift point RPMs, or make the shifts 'harder', you will be putting a lot of extra pressure on your clutch packs. They are getting pretty worn right now and it will cause an early failure if you do not also replace all the wear parts inside.
You might be better off going to your local 'Pick-r-Part' and get another exact same transmission - rebuild it and just swap them out. They only cost $129.00 here.

Got about 20,000 on tranny with a shift kit installed, 181,000 total miles and still works perfect.

I had 18000kms/ 11200miles on my rebuilt before I sheared the output shaft. Upgraded to 4L65 planetarys, red devil cutches, beast sunshell, HD2 shift kit 1800 stall and vette servo. Blew the tires off when it shifted to second. Way awesome till it grenaded. Had current trans built same way but with a 2200 stall, haven't had any issues, mind you I'm a little easier on the skinny pedal now a days....
