IMO, if you don't get them surfaced, I doubt you are going to be able to keep head gaskets from blowing out, to much surface corrosion.

Yea they look kinda bad in the pic butim not done cleaning them up yet and they have been setting in torn trash bags with no tranny fluid on them-so im soaking them real good and washing and soaking...these don't have to be perfect just kinda throwing them on...you should of seen them before i started lol. There is some heavy duty head gaskets out there im going to use 2.

Well we will get that age old thing answered bout 305 heads on a 350 blk anyway---lol

For the life of me i can't think of what those little rubber seals on valves are called. Anyone help me out?

Also does anyone happen to know if the pressure plate and clutch that was bolted on a 454 go on a 350?

That little rubber o-ring is just a different style of seal. The valve keepers go on top of the valve springs to keep them in place.
