I hate to see the new HDs...cuz I might buy one :D2

No.

Never.

Not gonna do it.

<sigh>

If it helps you resist, the LP5 probably won't ever be tunable without a piggy-back of some sort. GM encrypted the shit out of the new ones, it's one time and VIN based, so there is no break it once and it's good across the board. I'll be keeping mine until there aren't parts to fix it any more.

Also...what are all these options that Ford/Dodge have that GM doesn't? and as far as the ford interior goes, it looks like it's made out of LEGOs. The Dodges are nice inside though...

I agree, other manufactures offer a ton more in options than GM. Not sure why they are slacking but they are. I was amazed at what Ford offers.

I was looking at a new SS and trading in the Camaro. The extra room and 4 doors would be nice and it still comes in a 6spm. It is still on my mind since they are offering 20% off MSRP this month. But I kind of would like a new truck since mine is a 2002. Decisions decisions.

Until it dramatically impacts sales, they will probably lag behind on features and expense, possibly maintaining better profit margins than their competitors. :dunno:

And this is why they will always be running behind Ford in truck sales. It's all about the $$$$

Again, I️ am a GM fanboy and don’t deny that. Exactly why I️ don’t have a new truck. But, have you looked at the 17 super duty interiors? I’ll focus on the super duty just because that’s what I️ have looked at the most. I️ hate the 16 and old super duty interiors. I️ agree 100% looks like legos. The half ton from I️ think 15+ and the 17 Super Duty is nice!

I’m getting ready for work so I️ may miss some but here are what I can think of right now.
Push button start (ford and dodge both offer it)
360 camera
A true blind spot monitor with tow mirrors (also sends beam 30 ft back when in tow haul mode)
Pano sunroof
A power step standard on upper models (and it doesn’t look hideous)
Power telescoping tow mirror
Vents for back passengers(novel concept)
Power down tailgate with camera in bed for fifth wheel
A 8 inch digital gauge set up (like Denali) but is available in all model Lariat and up.
Heated and cooled rear seats
Massaging front seat
Real wood trim in Lariat and above
Active cruise (not sure if you can get in 2500hds)

If I️ remember the rest I’ll add to the list

Yep, and most of the options that are on the High Country or Denali are available on lower model Fords from what I can tell.

What gets me is our 16 Suburban has push button start but the trucks don't as well as the digital gauges like on the Denali. Other than it not having a bed, why are these options available on the trucks. Makes no sense. When I get in my vehicles after driving the Suburban for a while, I find myself looking for the push button start.

Also no HUD on trucks but the Suburban has it.

No need to come up with more...that's quite a list! Some I wouldn't want or wouldn't miss, but most seem like they might be nice. I haven't looked at the 17s, definitely based on the previous years. Ford's haven't had an interior i've found nice in about 15 years. My father in law is a ford guy so I've seen a few, from low end to King Ranch. Glad they're getting better...but as i said in another post in here...gonna be a *damn* long time before i need to worry about it. :D

I️ agree. Definitely not anything that is required, but for same money can be had.

I️ did remember one other option that I️ didn’t list. This was the main reason I️ started looking at a ford.

You can get true 6 passenger truck. Actually has a head rest and a shoulder harness and has instructions for installing a car seat when needed.

When I was talking to the dealer they put me a truck together with everything I️ listed above except for massaging seats (only available on king ranch and platinum) along with it being 6 passenger and it was less money than a loaded LTZ.

Man, I still haven't gotten used to the Acadia  Push button start just isn't a big one for me. If I could have omitted it, I would have. The wife likes it because she can leave her keys in her purse.

When we first got push button start on my wife's Lexus a few years ago I was the same way. Did not care for it. Then we had it for a couple years and I started to like it more. Now that I have had it on her van, I love it. It is no where near a deal breaker for me, but I would like it. I just appreciate the fact that it's on option on the Ford and Dodge. Unless you want to remote start it I never have to take the keys out of my pocket. Even that I can do on my phone if I choose.

After nearly 3 decades of driving, and my ring of far too many keys, I believe I just have muscle memory, and a need to hang my keys on the steering column. I keep getting beeped at every time I leave the Acadia. I guess I need a purse.
