What you described sounds like what my truck does every so often. Like the rear is pulling my front end backwards.

After driving my own truck again a few times, I'm also thinking they may have switched over to electric steering and maybe drive-by-wire throttle control.

With the 2018, the steering felt very "numb" and "disconnected." It's like there was no (or very little) resistance (maybe this is how old cars felt, when they were all so over-boosted? :dunno:), which I think made it easier to pull the steering wheel a touch more than you meant to in a curve, etc. (if you hit a bump). On mine, there's a good amount of resistance when you're in a corner, so you can better "feel" when you're pushing it some and the tires aren't liking it.

RE: The throttle... The main time I noticed its odd behavior on the 2018 was when I was backing (up), into my driveway. I've tended to back up as close as possible to the garage door. On the 2018, if the throttle was "on," it was like it immediately jumped to 5% or something. There wasn't really a "very little throttle amount" in that "I want to get just a little bit closer" scenario. :(

Not a fan of either thing...
