Holy shit! Have you guys priced these things? A V6, 4x4 regular cab stickers for damn near $40k! Granted no one pays near sticker for half tons but still seems high for a fairly basic model. Looks like there is room under there to fit a $30k+ Colorado in after all.

Also after tinkering there doesn't seem to be a way to get the 8" radio in the RC that fills in the center stack much better. :dunno:

Jim: out of curiosity, why not on the lowered truck? Not something I'm looking to do, but curious what the downsides have been.
The ride sucks. If I was 25 I might think looking cool was more important... but the ride simply sucks. The front rides pretty OK with the spindles and springs, but the rear will beat you to death on anything but a smooth road. I've ridden in several lowered GMT900 trucks (lowered different ways) and they all rode like shit. Each owner swore they rode great. One buddy has a fully chopped up and bagged Silvy. It rides good, but it's completely useless. He's in love because the frame lays on the ground.
MEH.

Never again.

Yeah, that's a pretty damn negative!

I love my lowered CC :p......the air shocks made the ride much smoother in the rear

I was thinking the same thing when I saw "base price: $35k," Although, the base price MT quoted was for an SLE, not a WT. It looks like whatever they're calling the WT now starts out at a little north of $27k for 2WD truck. :uhoh:

Yep, in shopping for a new truck, I had to get over the price shock. All the brands are insanely expensive now.

I have fairly expensive taste so in my messing around online the last few years I'd accepted that fully loaded crew cabs (and SUVs :uhoh:) were up the 50s, just didn't realize fairly basic regular cabs had creeped up so much.

Maybe they've been "making room" for the Colorado/Canyon to come in under the 1500's, yet still be profitable? :dunno:
