I think $1495 is a reasonable price difference between the 5.7 and 6.4.

Here's the actual Chrysler media release.

Sounds like the new Power Wagon will be a beast!

Although the Ram Power Wagon benefits from the new five-link rear suspension, it also receives a unique front suspension system to maintain its leadership in off-road capability. The modified front three-link system incorporates high-movement links, allowing for additional flexibility and axle articulation. The 2014 Power Wagon also is powered by the all-new 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine, contributing to Ram Power Wagon’s title: the most capable production off-road truck in the industry.

Got this in an email yesterday. I think it's stupid. They brought the power down from 470hp to 410. The 5.7 has 395hp. The torque difference is only gonna be about 20lbs or so different too. More money for nothing but more fuel consumption.

Those are the rating for the half-ton 5.7, the 5.7 in the HDs makes 383hp/400lb-ft. Makes it 27hp/29lb-ft, not much different but still different. Engines almost always lose numbers on paper when going into truck duty. I bet with 700cc difference it'll feel stronger than the numbers suggest in comparison to the 5.7. Still no LS though. :jester:

I agree, while the paper gains are not real high, I bet the torque curve and powerband are WAY flatter/stronger than the 5.7. Once the tuners start working on it.....hold on!
