Had one of the old body styled Escapes for a rental for the past 3 weeks. Not a bad vehicle, the 4 banger was a little lite on power since I'm more used to V8's, but it was easy on gas. Plenty of room for the family and all of our luggage. Ford has some pretty good vehicles overall. :ford:

Agreed. I have had a few as rentals, as well. They are quite popular around here.

Local Ford stores don't have any for sale. They have received a few but they sold quickly. Once supply catches up, they should sell really well.

I just hope they don't do what GM did with the Equinox. They couldn't keep them on the lot for months and some dealers still can't keep a inventory... But late 09 early 2010 the market adjusted added $2k to the sticker. I think the sales increase jumped almost 50-60% and still hasn't dwindled much.

I think the Escape sold a lot more units than the first gen Nox but neither of them were the best looking. I would almost guesstimate that the old escape was roll over friendly...

Some do not like the 2nd Gen Nox looks but sales would tells a different overall truth...

:ford: did a excellent job with the looks of the new Escape... It sure wouldn't be a waste of time to test drive one... The previous body style wasn't not worth a look.

Equinox does sell very well here. This new Escape will probably do well too. I don't mind seeing the domestics take a little chunk out of the import SUV sales.
