Truck looks sweet man. I've had bad experiences w/ gas mileage though on 4wd 6'rs. My girlfriends 03 ranger gets worse mileage than my 5.3. If you get it you should model it after that blue Tacoma in the Toyota thread!

Overpriced... well not really if you plan to keep it long term.

My daily driver is a 2002 Tacoma 4x4 TRD SR5, bought it new and it now has 112,000 miles. Other than oil changes, air filters, wiper blades and tires I haven't had to spend a dime of "repair" money on it. Still running the original plugs and wires, original brakes. And the mpg has been consistent since day one, about 24 mpg. I run synthetic oil, change it every 8000 miles and it doesn't seem to use a drop of oil between changes.

No rust issues either other than rock chips on the nose, and no squeaks and rattles in the cab.

Hard to go wrong buying a Tacoma.

Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

Some of us have no need for a big truck Brian... and are comfortable enough with our manhood that we can drive what we like.

:D

I actually understand what Brian means and agree with him. It's not a matter of manhood, it's matter of money. Since the Tacoma is smaller, then requiring less raw materials to be made of, would make sense to be cheaper.

But a Tacoma can be turned into a hell of a bad ass war-rated trail rig :naughty:

A loaded Tacoma is over 10 grand cheaper than a loaded 1/2 ton Chevrolet Silverado.

What you mean by loaded? Double cab, 4WD and all? Altough the Tacoma can be enought for many customers, the Silverado still justifies itself for the available Vortec 6200 V8 :naughty:
