Well, I was thinking about it (very briefly) earlier and it seems like KB runs strong in the first part of the season and then kind of "cracks" or something towards the end of the season. Now, I have not looked at stats, so I could be 100% wrong on this. It just seems like he's more of a threat in the first half of the season than the last..

It's like the pressure gets to him or something... He "has" to finish in a certain spot or higher "no matter what" and he seems to push himself too much. Yes, he always pushes hard. But, it seems like he gets better results when there's less "have to do it now" pressure on him..

EDIT : I checked the Cup Series results for the last three years. The latest in the year he has won has been August. It seems like "most" of his wins are earlier in the season, though..

Looking at his results, though, he's hell on wheels at Bristol and Richmond, in particular. At least one win each at both of those tracks for the last three years..
