To me there is no such thing as my " idea " vehicle. I used to do that with my BMW and Legacy and just continued to drop coin on them. In the end I ended up bored with them after two/three years. I didn't start modding the Ram until last year and I've had it since 2010 and 176,000 miles. Yes $1500 for the hood won't hurt me dollar wise, but it would BUG me mentally lol.

Well now I am trying to order a oem Sport hood and they want my "vin" lol. I explained to them in the beginning that I do not own a Sport, just looking to add that part to my current vehicle. At this rate staying as I am is looking better and better.

They may need the VIN to match the paint.

I have "heard" that even one paint code can vary a bit on how the paint turns out based on temperature, humidity, etc. of when the paint was applied. :dunno:

All oem hoods unless special ordered come primered, it makes it easier for the shops to match them. This I know because of the body shop that I deal with. Because of the age of my truck, they prefer it that way so they can more so closely match the hood with the fenders/doors/etc. :)

Cars.com and find a Ram Sport in your model year. A lot of times, the VINs are listed so you can CarFax, etc. the vehicle. :dunno:

Did as suggested and was able to grab a 2012 Vin to send to them. Let's hope there aren't anymore hurdles after this lol.

Well while I am waiting dealing with this Sport hood situation, decided to try something else. One thing even with my Hemi that I've noticed is pedal lag. Yes I know that I have M.D.S on it but taking off sometimes makes me feel as it's saying " ok you're pushing the gas pedal, but I'm not ready to go yet ". So I'm doing a little cheat method and see what comes of it.
