Stacks are dumb. A raised exhaust pipe outside the bed can be useful for some special operations (and were mandatory in Australia until a few years ago) but a bed-mounted stack doesn't look so good...

on a DIESEL if done right in my opinion stacks look GREAT

on a gas truck it's COMPLETELY retarted, and at that point you might as well let auto zone design the rest of your truck.

You've got a pretty good eye for this stuff but I'm going to have to disagree about 1,000,000% with you on this one. Stacks in the bed of a light-duty truck (I'm using the real definition here) are just silly.

Stacks in the bed are as stupid as the fart cans from the ricers. It can damage the cargo due to the exhaust heat...

BUT, in a vehicle oriented to off-road driving, it can often be useful when assembled correctly...

This one, for example, has a protection cage to avoid idiots to touch the pipe when it's hot.

That's the reason why diesels are not taken seriously in the States, due to some people who think diesels MUST "roll coal", do stupid mods like the "smoke switches" and use the stack almost like a symbol of power (no wonder why it appeals more to guys who might not be so satisfied with the size of the reproductive organ).

That's not as terrible as T and a few others are making it out to be, the flame decals, rockstars and window vents need to go though....the problem is some of the the girly men on this site overly exaggerate...personally if I had to do it, had a big mean diesel, gun to my head I would do one single short one on the passenger side, in black.
