Another thing... Are you able to lock the converter and tale it for a drive?
I'm no ford expert, but usuall if a misfire is present the converter shouldn't lock.

Typical, Plugs and COP's.... What engine? If its the 4.6 you have nothing to worry about. If its the 5.4.... Well sounds like you have heard the storys lol...

There are alot of guys changing those plugs with impacts... Just full bore exiting out, and having good luck. They make the lisle tool now that makes it fairly pain free.

Search youtube for 5.4 spark plugs with impact.

Thanks John, I will test her fuel pressure.

Kyle,

It's the 5.4.

I was reading online, and the Autolite procedure seems to be the safeset... have the engine BONE cold... and then turn each plug 1/8" of a turn... spray carb cleaner that eats carbon down into the plug area, about a teaspoons ammount, and let it sit for an hour... go ahead and try turning after, if it's still pretty tight.. spray a small amount again, and repeat.

I think im gonna try the coil packs first, I told her it's prevent maintence any ways... it wont be a waste of cash if it doesnt fix it.. cause they will go bad anyways... LOL.

So we will see.

Got any experience with the duralast brand from autozone? They are 42$ a piece with a lifetime warranty. Its the front 2 cylinders.. so they are super easy to change if they die.

search for "Global Automotive" on Ebay.

Many on other ford forums have had good success with the COP's from Them.

Myself included. I've been running them for over 2 years without any problems and they are super cheap. around $70 for all 8.

I've done the dreaded plug change without any problems. Just make sure you take your time. Piece of cake!

Also many have suggested sticking with the motorcraft sparkplugs.

You will pay a little extra for them but many suggest that they are the safest.

I replaced mine with genuine motorcraft and haven't had any issues.

sorry for the million posts on the same subject.

good luck!
