Andy, thanks for posting the Blackstone results. 10k miles is nothing. I have taken my 02 up to 16k with no issues. Now it doesn't get the mileage as it did since I run the Jetta for the economy. Living out away from the big city life I need the economy. So at 50mpg the jetta is sweet, especially when I run a mix of waste veggy oil and diesel.:)

Did you switch over your diffs and transmission yet? Keep a note on your economy and then switch over. Most of my customers notice a slight increase in mpg. Not all but most do. Plus don't forget the AMSOIL P.I. for your fuel system.

That was a fast turn around for the oil sample.

I use Mobil 1 and a new filter every 5k for $35. My way is the best. Screw you all. :jester:

:werd:

Me use Wix filter.

Dan, what is the price of the wix filter that you use and what part number is it? I'm curious as to the cost. AMSOIL also sells Wix and Donaldson filters. If anything get me the part number and I can let you know what your cost of the filter would be. :)

Very Cool, Andy! thanks for posting the results. I didn't know they were in Ft. Wayne. Knowing that now, I've sent off for test kits for both of rides.

Thanks again!

D@mn that was fast! Shipped out my sample on Monday, they got it today & just sent me the results.

Also look at the insolubles being at .3, which means that the Eao oil filter is doing it's job and keeping the inside of that engine clean. It is one efficient oil filter that no other filter can match.

How much did that OA cost from Black Stone?

Their site shows $22.50/analysis. I just had them send me two kits, one for each vehicle. Fortunately, they are just up the road from me so turnaround should be even faster.

Not sure if the site shows it or not but add $10 to that to get the TBN. (Total Base Number), that is important since the TBN shows how much of the additive package is left that helps to fight all the acid build up and contaminants in the oil. With out it the oil can look great but you do not know if the oil was past it's life expectancy or if it could have gone longer such as stadt11's oil sample. They suggested he could go to 11k on the next oil change.
