1994 chevy cheyenne 2WD to 4WD conversion help! :)

Ok soo I have a 1994 chevy cheyenne 2500 and I have put a lot of work into it and I thought I mine as well finish the job and just make it a 4WD. I was wondering estimated how much it would cost and what I'd need to do to make my truck a 4WD! thanks, and anything helpss

Depends on if you get parts cheap. Its alot of work.

If I remember correctly, the easiest way is to find a 4x4 frame and swap it.

Buy a 1994 Chevy Cheyenne 4WD, swap body panels, complete.

That's the only way I'd suggest it.

Buy a solid axle swap kit, find a donor axle and transmission w tcase (or just find a divorced np205 t case) from a parts yard, invest time, blood, sweat and beer and build it up right.

Forget about using independent suspension its a waste of time. Find a nice Dana 60. A lot of military surplus places will have something you can use out of a retired one ton. I would recommend a NP205 transfer case. Do some junk yarding to find your driveshafts and transfer case. It would be easiest and make the most sense to use leaf springs up front. Expect to have $1500 to $2000 invested by the time you are done.
