Ight, mods, you can move this to where you see fit. Went to start the prostreet yesterday.. and notice the cranking was getting slower. So i checked the battery.. its in great shape.. even for being a bit older. Just for grins, i put my charger on start.. and tried it... it was cranking even slower... so.. the next step you take after the battery checks out.. is the cables!!! I grabbed them to feel if they were hot.. and sure enough.. the ground to the chassis was so hot.. it was starting to melt the protection sleeve on it!!! I about freak. So... i took the wire from the spot.. and placed it on the front frame clip, under a brake line mount bolt. scratched up the surface, so it has clean contacts, and put new battery terminal lugs on it.

THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER.. EVER.. started so fast before. its always been a bit slow.. but i figured the starter wasnt enough to turn over this motor.. cause of the compression... you cant even fully turn the key and it fires... COLD. ill take a video of it soon. i am SOOO impressed. i cant explain it.

It is amazing what kinds of problems a bad ground can cause. Glad you got it fixed.

Good catch Brian. That could have been a fire under the hood, loose/poor connections build a lot of heat and can cause the insulation on the wiring to catch fire.
