I have always wondered how they sync 2 V8's in series to keep them from actually fighting each other?

I have always thought the same thing, you would think the second one would have to pull a different RPM to actually add HP's to the rear rather than just spinning from the front one.

All you need to do is try to make sure each piston is firing at a different time and not fight each other. Its the same as going from a V6 to a V12. We had 2 joined together (both V6's) with a drive shaft for an irrigation motor once. One couldn't pump it, but together it worked pretty good. You just don't want to be around when the u-joint goes out...
