'04 Chevy 2500 gas mileage

6.0 is just a hungry critter.. thats all there is to it. LOL.

It's not so much the engine, as it is the truck it's in.

In the HDs it almost always gets dismal mileage, but in my truck I average 14 city 17 highway (I've also gotten as high as 19 highway on a ~150 mile trip). 1000 pounds will make a difference.

So break out the metabo.

Like I said.. drop weight. hahahahah pizza cutter tires... aluminum wheels... take out the seats.. and cut a sun roof out.

My trucks a 2500 with the 6.0, but it's not an HD. I average 11-14mpg. Nothing but driving around town netted me 9.7mpg once.
