I have this one and it's probably 10 years old and still works like a charm. I find the "pen" style ones a pita. But then again, this is pretty much the only one I've used so I'm used to it.

I think the acadia's are very nice, but I have been around quite a few of the new edges and explorers at work are pretty nice, but I am really impressed with the redesigned explorers. Loads of nice features, but the price tags are kinda high. I saw one that was loaded and was almost $50K:ohnoes:

That Joe Rocket should serve you well. I have speed and strength one that I got from a local dealership pretty cheap. IMO it's a pretty heavy duty jacket for the price. Alpinestars are definately nice but they are pricey
