I would just like to say that I hate you with every fiber of my being.

Adding any more power before you regear would just be BEGGING for your trans (and the next one) to go kaboom. Gears cost a lot less than multiple transmissions, not to mention they'll help drivability a TON.

He must drive like a nut. In my truck, I average 14mpg in mixed driving, regularly get 17 on the highway, and have seen 18.9 on a 250 mile trip with cruise at 75mph and the AC on. EDIT: Is this a Yukon, XL, or Sierra Denali?
