Spent $3500 on the new transmission for it (including labour). I cooked the transmission so badly I had fused pieces together. Hoping to get some pictures when I pick truck up tomorrow. The new one has a bunch of goodies....transgo hd2, "Beast" sunshell, upgraded sprag, upgraded clutches, 'vette...
Go custom....diy4x.com would have all the suspension brackets you'd need, then just find an axle and tcase at a pick-a-part, ebay, craiglist or car-part.com
If you want cheap and easy....buy a 4wd chassis with a clapped out body and do a body swap.
No I've been meaning to get it to transmission shop but working to much. I heard about ignition switch and the Park Indicator sensoer thingy on trans cause a similar issue but not quite the same.
Ok so I lost 2nd gear in my trans (4l60E) some time back but couldn't afford to have it looked at and learned to live with it, then recently I lost 3rd and OD but got 2nd gear back over 2000 rpm. Noticed that my gear indicator isn't registering Park or Neutral (and sometimes Reverse) and if I...
If you want better milage put in higher( numerically lower ex.3:42) gears if you want better towing abilty go to a lower ( numerically higher ex 4:10) gear. If your towing lots with the 4.8 I'd get lower gears to make it easier and suffer the mpg loss of in town driving.
Every brand has their issues. Dodge or GM would be the only ones I'd choose based on the issues Ford has had with the 6.0. If you stay stock you shouldn't have major issues with either of the engines or powertrains.
Most of the Cummins boys I know have had to do injectors(almost always the #6...
Plates transfer here but I haven't gone to get my Personalized plates yet. My parents both have them and I think they cost $150 up front then just the average renewal fees.
John Deere or Kubota are both good machines, although that particular shade of green is usually quite expensive by comparison. I'd search out a Kubota for your needs. But don't over look New Holland, Massey Ferguson or even Bobcat as you might get a good deal.
Tires seem okay, round, black and full of air...fuses blown? If anybodys gonna get blown around here its gonna be......, er I mean no they all look good. I even double checked to make sure my lug nuts were tight and my ash tray was closed....
Ahhh I never even thought about that....you sure its not just needing a good dose of compressed exhaust or something, I have a spare water pump but If I dont have to change it I wont.
Okay, I checked for the cam sensor to no avail, muffler bearings are fine but did need greased, Headlight and blinker fluid topped up, radiator resonator was replaced last time I took it to a master mechanic, I even checked the inertial dampeners....rear end is still hootched...any...
$1.299-1.349L or $5.01-5.19 US gallon for regular
And ya'll bitch at $3.78.... thats about $1L
From just under a 1/4 tank it cost me $105 to fill up my truck.
Plug is tight. It had to come in through the vent line at some point....probably this one:

this video reminds me...I need to fix the carb so it stops bogging out like that.....the vent line is at the top of frame rail on passenger side right above the axle.
