In a previous post you said the fluid smelled burnt. In my humble opinion, it would be dumb to leave that fluid in the transmission. You ALREADY KNOW it isn't any good. I would change it as soon as I possibly could.... that would be a high priority thing to get done.

Glad he's ok... the truck can be fixed...

I have t look at the tach to see if mine is running...

If it runs more or less NORMAL until you really give it gas... it could be a catalytic converter getting stopped up...
