Alright, update time. Got the tint job done. I re-ordered replacement films on the 8th, didn't take long to receive them at all. Got it all done this evening with some of the video I had stated I would capture. Will process and render very soon. It feels great being back into a tinted vehicle.
Did the tint last night but I screwed up on 2 windows. I did film it with my girlfriend which I think is my problem, felt slightly pressured and its Been awhile I done it. Pics later.
Thanks fellas. Shes pissed at me for getting rid of the old truck cause "it was me".. wow, only a life object/tool. Could be jealousy too I imagine but oh well. Now a whole 3 days without me has her pissed, gotta love em.
Well the tint kit came in, wont be going in till late next week. Great grandmother passed away Thursday morning at 90yrs old so i'll be out till Wednesday. Girlfriend being a complete bitch too, so there is a lot on my plate.
Huh? :dunno:
What do I get out of the deal?
Nothing real major or too loud. I'm wearing out of that era, and I haven't broke 23yrs of age . No true duals neither, keeping the low end torque on this truck. 08FX4 on F150online ran a 3" single exhaust with a Magnaflow Magnapack and Y piped 2.5" tails with 4" tips. I will be trying that...
Tint should be shipped as of today ( 5/23/11 ) so I am hoping for arrival on the quoted Thursday/Friday estimate. If so, I have the weekend off of work. If it is sunny I will have no excuses
Lights and such were no problem, I took the expensive stuff, the PHP Programmer and 33"s...
Looks very nice, looks like a King Ranch? Still hate the new grills and think the beds are too short & small, unmatching the huge front. Hope Ford makes the SD look good again someday..
Before I traded my '04 in I shot a little more video the weekend before after one final washing. Truck specs consist of,
2004 F-150 5.4L Super Cab 6'5 4x4 custom tuned, dwv mod with amsoil EaA200 filter.
Stock Manifolds
Deleted Rear Cats
2.5" True Duals X piped
Dynomax 12" Bullets
Magnaflow...
X2. Good skill to have. Once you get it learned tint will never cost you $100+ again. My kit was $85 because I bought the tool kit and their most expensive quality film. Otherw
ise their film pre-cut kits run $50 tops. Costed me $47 in 08 to tint my old Super Cab.
Granted the cats were not all gone, just the 2 rear of the original 4, no there was no problems. The finance manager didn't seem too annoyed by the loud exhaust neither.
20% all around tint kit ordered. $85 from Northern Tint Co. Tru-cut and tool kit #2 since I can't find my tinting squeegie and solution bottle. Ships Monday after being cut. Pictures and video install when it happens in a few weeks.
The Weathertechs came in today. Highly pleased with the front mats, not so much with the rears. It doesn't look as nice as the fronts do, nor is it as well crafted and molded. Doesn't look as black neither, but it is still ok. Doesn't seem worth $201 though.. Hopefully they will do fine for the...
Thats for sure. I found that out with my old truck. Boy did going from stock to XD & M/T make a huge difference. Although on that specific truck the change was hugely improved.
Thanks man! Yeah I feel it was good luck too. I'm glad I didn't let this one escape me.
I'm going to start removing a couple chrome parts then the next thing I know it will be a full black out. Not that there isn't anything wrong with that but its not exactly what I planned to do. Though I always wanted my share of having a complete black out truck.
That sucks. At least nobody got hurt though. My brother's neighbor had that happen to their neighbor once, I seen it happen.
Even better at least it wasn't one of the kids!
