What? Someone calling for an L31 here? :D
Don't deny the truth! :pfingers: :)
Soooo....is anyone seriously looking into this at all? Pretty damn nice truck!
Can't. :( I put them in the front of the bed (I know, the worst spot) running the length of the bed all side by side (flat). I can't put them over the axle or by the tailgate because I haul my snowblower around.
UPDATE
Tightened the driver's exhaust manifold flange up. No more leaks! I'll try...
Tires look about new; General Grabber. We'll see how they do!
I always carry a small scoop shovel, tow strap, and jumper cables in the winter. I try to be prepared. :)
I'm gonna try running without any weight in the bed to start. I have 5 70lb sand bags I can add as needed (kept them from the...
Yep. Next year the body gets all the attention. The driver's side has all the problems; passenger side is almost spotless. I'll take dents over rust holes any day. I still really want to repaint it the orange available on the Colorado/Cavalier/Cobalt/G6 (just to name a few).
HID's, wiring for them, new headlights, and put on mud flaps.....Then I'm all set!!
We'll see if I can get this stuck this winter at all. :D Only problem is that I don't know anyone else with a truck.
ZR2 - Brought it home! :willy: Hopefully I'll have time soon to work on the HID's and wiring, and put on the mud flaps. Then I'm all set for winter!
Z71 - Drove it to work and home.

Brought the truck home!
November 3, 2011
Decided to bring the truck home today. Rode my motorcycle down to my grandma's (cold as heck) this morning and left it there.
Got the passenger's side exhaust leak taken care of, but it was so loud that it was covering up a driver's side leak....so...
Yeah, I noticed that too (the gear ratio differences). Right now, I'm gonna be running a cheap eBay intake. I just don't have time to get my Volant one installed. I'd rather get my HID's done first.
I got by BB tune for 87oct. Nothing fancy. I still need to do the TB mod though.
We'll see...
Well, I got 17-18mpg with my '97 S10 4.3L 5spd in the winter and 20-22 in the fall that I had it.
It would be great to stay around 18mpg for the winter!
I thought the bigger tires were what killed the ZR2's.
I have a light like that. Makes you look like you're a miner. Pretty handy buggers too.
I just thought it was ambitious to do the swap in 1 night! Heck, whenever I finally remove one of my transmissions, it'll probably take at least 2 days.
Well, with my luck, a special with Detail Spray will come up now (that's what I've been waiting for), but this one was just too good to pass up!
I can't wait to use the Adam's carpet cleaner with my Bissell shapoo-er. Add to that the carpet brush, and maybe I'll get all the dirt/stains...
Whohooo!!! Finally got the perfect Daily Special! :wookie:
Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner Gallon
FREE Carpet Brush
Free Funnel
Free Empty 16oz Refill Bottle
all for $29.95
Also got a gallon of Detail Spray so I can finally detail the trucks before winter! Even remembered to use our TMC discount...
:withstupid:
Why can't I find trucks like that!!!! :(
What year? Looks like a 90-94.
Drove it to work and back. Figured out that I'll take my motorcycle to my grandma's this week (where I store the trucks when I park them) and bring the ZR2 home and park it in the driveway. Then I'll be able...
I had a '94 RCSB 5spd 4cyl. It got GREAT gas mileage (25mpg consistently in the summer; 20-21 in the winter). It wasn't a bad truck, and I'd own another like it, but then I had the '97 ECSB 5spd V6 and the engine made a HUGE difference in power. That truck could get-up and go, but it also killed...
