Your state may be different but a class A is required when the trailer you are hauling is rated for 10,001 pounds or more. I know my 26' would be rated for 15klbd but the stamp on it is de-rated to 9900. You're good if its stamped at 10k! When I tow the deck over trailer that is rated for 14k...
