The newer gate is also lighter haha. I get what your saying but IMO the lines and style of the gate really flow well. And on ptm front I haven't decided due to the grille. I really don't know how I feel about the front end being ptm yet.

its just something that makes people want it more idk. but if you think about it to have it shaved properly would be expensive. if i was going to go completely shaved gate i would just use a 99-07 one. just different styles and what people want more. i like it cuz its beefier than my old one.

thats part of the reason the gate is so popular. that and to have that done right it would be more expensive than its worth.

Tried to find a new coolant filter local but no napa close. Then picked up a load of parts from a buddy to help him sell and take my cut including a new radio I'll be keeping. Then got new dash kit and wire harness to do the install tonight.

Our doctor informed us they changed the law to 2 yrs old before flipping around. We're gonna flip him after Christmas though.
