I'll have to check that out. Hopefully my parts. Come by Saturday so I can start tearing it down. I have to drain the coolant to get the plenum and valve cover off. Figured I'd do a cooling system service while it's drained.
On the Xterra forum I'm on they basically said these trucks just...
That's exactly what I'm trying to do only with uoa since the xtterra don't have an olm.
We put so many miles on that if I were doing 3000 mile drain I'd be changing it every month. Even with 5000 mile drains.
So using the AZO I am able to space out the changes to a point where it saving me...
Thanks Clancy I havn't noticed that! :fingertime:
:jester:
I've been meaning to clean the truck and Xterra for a picture together then have someone make me a new sig pic.
sorry to be off topic here but
Is that new Comp still running strong? No issues?
Reason i ask is I've read a lot about people having issues with then new ones even if it is
AC Delco because of the O-ring design. Usually about a year or two years after they put it in. I know
its got warranty...
Not trying to make anyone mad by saying this just some honest to god info.:)
I've done quite a bit of reading of the GM oil life monitor. In that reading found out that although it takes a lot in account: idle time, temp, TPS, total engine hours god know what else. There is one think it cant...
Was that before or after shipping? A lot of the time after shipping its cost about the same as it would from the parts store.
Also if you get it from a parts store you have a place to get warrenty incase you have a problem.
My truck was down for a few days waiting on a rep lament fuel pump...
Yup sure do. My wife drives it to work every day and her commute is about 40 miles each way M-F. Plus its our man "Family" car so most of them time we drive it instead of the truck. but with the recent dash install she's been more willing to ride it it.
Oh and yes that 4.0 has some...
Found this on Wiki:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_would_your_99_Ford_Ranger_5_speed_repetitivly_rev_up_to_3000_rpms_while_you_are_idling_at_a_stop_light_with_your_foot_off_the_gas_and_then_suddenly_drop_back_down_to_normal
I would think that if it was the MAP it the engine would be idling rough right?
Or I could just be a dumb A$$!:rollin:
Seriously though a scan tool should be able to tell you either or.
TPS Showing to be about $23 from Autozone
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/2000-Ford-Ranger-2WD/Throttle-Position-Sensor/_/N-je7vsZ9gsmg?filterByKeyWord=TPS+sensor&fromString=search
Could be TPS now that I think about it.
With out a scan tool the only thing I can figure is to just change it and see what happens.
My brothers 93 gmc 1500 did this. Scan tool revealed TPS at 100% all the time.
