    Time for a new bike

I have had my trusty V-Start since 1999. It has taken me everywhereI needed to go (and some paced I didn’t) with very little problems throughoutthe years. But I want something bigger and more comfortable. I have wanted a RoadStar for years. But Now I find myself eye balling Royal Stars pretty...

    Project: Papa’s Dodge, stage one.

Got the rest of the steering knocked out. I set the gear boxup where I could clean it and look for leaks. I planned to replace the shaftseals but they looked great and had no signs of leaks. Next I mocked up thegear box reinforcement bracket. I do not know what year truck it came from, butall I...

Thesteering coupler turned out to be more complicated than I thought it would be.The big problem was only one part in the rebuild kit would work. The rubberpiece is all I could use, the rest was worthless. Then, what I thought was threadedstuds turned out not to be. They went through all the...

I bolted everything from the 72 into the donor truck. I hadto get that wrapped up so I could get my jack stands back and I got tired ofthe left over’s lying around. The springs have not settled yet, but even so I amquite surprised at how well they are holding the weight of that 6BT. They...

I want to go through the engine very much badly. But it does not need it. The fire wall and inner fenders actaully look great. The inner fender wells could use some toughing up though. I think a real good scrubbing would be a big difference by its self.

Questions about D series and newer steering interchangeability

I am currently taking the suspension and steering parts frommy 91 donor D350 and installing them on my 72 D200. For the most part everythingis bolting up fairly well. Now it is time for me to address the steering. Myconcerns are with the steering gear box and the steering shaft. First, will...

1985 Yamaha Tri-Z, for sale or trade

I restored this Tri-Z is 2005. It has sat in storage since Iwas stationed here is 2006. The new engine on it has never been fired and nofuel has ever been in it. There are a lot of new old stock parts on it alongwith a lot of rebuilt parts. Not everything is new though. Some parts I had...

    Project: Papa’s Dodge, stage one.

Got the rod mod done. The rod end from the 72 power unit isthicker than the donor. It bolts in place where the donor’s has a pin and clip. There is a very small difference in length. That is simple to correct though. Icut each end off then welded the 72 rod end to the donor rod. I used a magnet...
