I have a 1950 Plymouth Deluxe that needs tires. It has G78-15 on the tire which is 27.7 diameter. I found a conversion chart to metric and its a 205/80/15 in metric. Tire rack doesnt have 205/80/15. Is the 205/80/15 a common tire size? What other sizes could I use on this car?
EDIT: What about...
I dont know what the going rate is on rims at the junkyards. But over here Steel rims go for $20-30 and aluminum goes for $40 each with no tires. Thats what sell for.
I guess I need to pull the tire(s) off of them to see if there's label on who they came from or Ford stamping logo. There's no Ford logo stamped on the inside part of the rim that faces the brakes. I'll be shut in tomorrow anyways with 2+ inches of rain will be in town tonight and tomorrow.
Here's some specs on the wheels.
Centerbore is 2.855in
Dunlop G/T Qualifier 215/56/15 tires on all 4
15x7 21mm
made in usa 130912 1

upside down 3 - vcb011
They also have some kinda hubcap that fits on them also.
