I used the coolant test stripes back in auto tech school. Coolant tested good. It starting using water back in auto school. Teacher said its normal to use little water. Now it got worse. Teacher brushed it off IMO. He didnt take in any head gasket work for us cause of sending heads to have them...

txab, Im not 100% sure its the head gaskets cause Im not overheating yet.

Far as now the intake gasket has never been replaced. I had never replaced it since getting the truck at 99,136 miles back in 2010. I have 148K on it now.

The wires that I repaired in auto tech school from getting smashed by the bellhousing had to get rerepaired. It was throwing cam sensor code. Which was the cause of engine misss as well.

As most of you know I was experiencing and still am with engine miss/rough idle. I replaced everything except the distributor. I was told the gears were known to be worn around 100k. Whole new distributor w/new module $200 or gear n pin kit $65 from napa? 1997 K1500 5.7L

I got 0.718 for swaybar diameter for frame bushing measurements.

Any idea on how much longer the old frame bushings will last?

Should I go ahead replace the frame bushings too or just the sway bar link bushing kit.

Its not in pic but the one frame bushing looks like it trying to slide out on part of it. They quoted $475 for swaybar and lower balljoint.

Does it matter where i measure on the swaybar to determine what size frame bushings I need. So its just one bushing per frame?

Napa has the swaybar bushing kit for $26.49

They said the swaybar is too loose for the alignment besides the lower balljoint. They said the alignment would jump all over the place with that bad swaybar. They is was so loose they could pickup on it by hand.

I need find a new right side sway bar. Is that the same as a control arm? I had alignment done today and it was a no go due to bad lower left side ball joint and right side sway bar. They said the bushings are gone. Thats what they told me. I cant find a new right side swaybar anywhere. I...
