Well I started with one size fits nothing Reese hitch. I had it laying around in the garage.
I made an upright out of 2x1/4".
I got some category one studs at tractor supply for 5 bucks.
Welded the upright on with a couple gussets for strength.

Little update. After doing the 12 volt conversion I had to change the headlight lenses to 12 volt. Had to wire them from scratch. Now I can work at night. :thumbs:
They were reliable until the government had the bright idea to get involved. The EPA is killing the diesel industry thanks to its ignorance and uneducated regulations.
I can't believe it would take the cylinder out that fast. I know someone who ran their Duramax 6 months with a leaking injector before it would not start anymore due to low compression. It would have to be straight running out of the injector for it to wash down that fast. You would have had...

I think when I do wheels this time I will go with polished aluminum. Although black wheels would look good with the black grill and painted front bumper.

Mods are gonna have to wait until the wife is done with med school. Prob nothing to serious. Leveling kit with rims and tires would be good for me. Thanks for all the compliments :)

My truck falls right into the average. The biggest thing that keeps me from buying a newer vehicle is the price and I love not having a payment. New trucks are way over priced. My truck runs solid so there is no reason to replace it.
